Town Restoration Association

In the summer of 2005 a group of over thirty concerned citizens met with Stacy Cejkaa, a Century Community advisor from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, to discuss ways to improve the local economy and encourage more tourists to visit. With her assistance, those present developed a Caddo "asset inventory" and brainstormed ideas for preserving and improving our community.

The group formed several committees and organized in late August as the Town Restoration Association of Caddo. A board of officers was elected and the group developed a strategic plan to meet several goals and objectives.

Thanks to the efforts of TRAC and its partnership with the City of Caddo, our town has qualified as a Century Community.

TRAC's accomplishments include: working with the City to obtain a $75,000 grant for new sidewalks and street lamps, landscaping the downtown area, participating in Trash Off, establishing Clean Sweep, raising over $1,500 at the Buffalo Trail BBQ, designing and building a community bulletin board, establishing a "yard of the month" program, installing a buffalo mascot downtown, and creating this website.
